niclas_runarssonNiclas was born in 1971 and lives in Söderhamn, on the east coast of Sweden. His fly-fishing and fly-tying interest started in the mid 80's but was put to rest only a few years later, when other interests took over. It was picked up again in 2004 and on the internet he met a group of experienced tiers who quickly made him start to see fly-tying as a passion rather than just maintenance of the fly-boxes. It became a separate interest besides fly-fishing and he started to tie outside his own boxes more often, which gave his progress a helpful push.

The natural progress from there was changing to fly-fishing and hence to fly dressing for trout and salmon. Paul find Oliver Edwards article ”The quest for perfection” published in Trout and Salmon very inspirational.
