History

The Finnish Fly Fishing Fair was held first time in 1987. The first fair was quite small and it was mainly about flies and fly tying. Since then the fair has grown and it’s nowadays a two day event with performers, exhibitors and everything that can be associated with fly fishing.

During the years there has been many well known foreign performers. For example names like Charles Jardine, Göran Anderson, Oliver Edwards, Mikael Frödin, Hans van Klinken, Marc Petitjean and Chris Helm and of course all the best in Finland.

The Finnish Fly Fishing Fair is organized by Pirkanmaan Perhokalastajat fly fishing club. All the work is done by voluntary club members.
